Man this winter has been tough so far! Mother Nature has just not been cooperating very well and fishing interests have been stymied by either snow, cold, wind or all of the above. I’ve heard that the water temperature in the ocean is in the mid 30s and that’s even too cold for tautog to be active on a regular basis. Thankfully spring is right around the corner and soon enough I won’t be fiending for fishing reports…..the Daily Angle will be…well…daily.
It was such a beautiful day in Ocean City today that Captain Monty Hawkins was able to steer the Morning Star east and I finally received a fishing report. Captain Monty reported that they were able to “pick at em” and it was a gorgeous day. Yoon and Chan Park are pictured here with some quality fish from the trip.
If you’re looking for a good way to escape the winter doldrums you should stop by the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA. We’re in booth number 2518 in the fishing hall right next to the bass tub and we’re handing out the Ocean City Vacation Guide, the 2018 edition of Fish in OC magazine and we’re also taking sign ups for our offshore fishing trip giveaway on the Spring Mix II. The show is at the PA Farm Show Complex and is open Saturday from 9-7 and the final day is Sunday 2/11 from 10-5. I’ll see you there!
