I am very happy to report after a solid week of some really awful weather conditions and absolutely no fish to speak of that I again have something to report. The Oceanic Fishing Pier in downtown Ocean City had some anglers head out today in the decent weather that couldn’t wait to drop a line in. The Oceanic reported that they had some good flounder action today despite the dirty water conditions. There were some keepers caught and several more throwbacks along with some spot.
I was also feeling so cooped up I took the opportunity to hit a local pond with my son Ryan and try some freshwater fishing. He’s having a great time learning how to bait his own hook, cast by himself and basically do everything on his own. He was proud of his largemouth bass that he caught from start to finish by himself.
The weather may cooperate long enough tomorrow into Wednesday for some boats to give it a shot. I’ll let you know as soon as I do if they’re able to go and if they catch.
