We had another nice day today with warm temperatures, sunny skies and light winds that made it a real joy to be outside especially if you were on the water. There was a little breeze this morning, but it was way fishable and anglers were out taking advantage of the nice conditions. There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast for tomorrow, but the rest of the week looks really nice.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing showed us a good time on the Nanticoke River for our current episode of Hooked on OC. We did some nighttime bowfishing for gar and had much success. Captain Marc was out doing some scouting and was able to find some snakehead action and ended up putting a couple in the box. Snakehead are an invasive species in Maryland and not only are they legal to catch, shoot and keep….it’s encouraged. You can actually be fined by the MD DNR if you’re caught transporting snakehead alive. Check out our current episode with Captain Marc below.
The sea bass bite was pretty good on ocean structure today for Captain Chris Mizurak and anglers on the Angler. Captain Chris reported good fishing with lots of coolers full and some fish that were just shy of 4 pounds.
Jeffrey Scherer submitted this photo of a nice rockfish that he caught from the route 50 bridge the other night. Jeffrey’s fish was a nice 32″, 14 pounds 1 ounce and was caught on a 5″ white Zoom super fluke.
