We had some pretty nice weather today with sunny skies, warm temps and little wind to speak of, and there were plenty of folks out on the water trying to bend a rod. There were some nice drum caught in the Assateague surf, there was some good sea bass fishing and the crazy good flounder bite around the OC inlet was crazy good once again.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters was out on the spot this morning with 30 other boats and was able to find his anglers some keeper flounder. They had seven flounder for the cooler and a bonus grey trout.

Blake Gunther was the first to text me this morning with the following photos of his catch. Blake had a personal limit jigging up flounders with four nice fish to 21.5″ and was back by 7:30 to get to his kid’s lacrosse game.

Caleb, Mitchell, Hunter and Tom had a four man limit of flounder this morning and were done by 10 AM. All fish were caught on Deadly Tackle Deadly Doubles and Gulp.

Rich Daiker and Kenny Schoen had a limit of flounder caught on Deadly Doubles and Gulp, and a couple of bonus bluefish.
Owen West and Chase Burbage teamed up for a two man limit of flounder this morning.
Brian Reynolds fished the Assateague surf today with live sand fleas and Fishbites and landed these black drum to a big 47.5″.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported some nice fish on today’s trip to the sea bass grounds.
