The first blue marlin of the season was caught offshore yesterday by angler Jim Barbey fishing on board the Full Service with Captain Brendan Barbey. They were fishing north of the Washington Canyon in 72 degree water looking for tunas when the blue marlin took the bait.
David Moore and Bill Greenwood fished the Assateague surf on Thursday and found some striped bass and some big red drum. Bill is almost 80 years old and still catching and releasing some quality fish like this 48″er.
Captain Tony Battista of Saltwater Adventures was fishing Craig Weedon from the MD DNR in the ocean this afternoon and found two sheepshead while fishing the final day of tautog season.
Jesse Harman, Alisia Harman and Big Bird Cropper fished the Route 50 bridge with Roy Rigs and had a nice day putting some fish in the boat. Alisia caught a nice slot rockfish of 29″ and Bird had a big chopper bluefish.

Donny Post worked all day with the Ocean City Reef Foundation getting ready to sync a barge and was handsomely rewarded afterward with this nice sheepshead.
