The White Perch Capital of the World

The White Perch Capital of the World

The white perch fishing in the Nanticoke river out of Sharptown, MD has been so good the past week or so that my buddy Eric Sexton suggested giving the little town a new nickname. Another report of good fishing might just move it closer to happening.

This time the report comes in from my buddy Nick Denny who fished the Nanticoke with two good friends of mine, Chris Tilghman and Mike Tuel. The trio had a good day with the white perch and also caught several small rockfish and a couple of catfish. It’s early in the fishing season, so just bending a rod is awesome…..and catching some good eating fish is a real bonus.
