It was a HOT one today…and the wind was blowing….and the water in the back bay was dookie brown. Less than ideal conditions to say the least. There wasn’t much cooperation in the ocean either, but some anglers got some fish to the net.
Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run found a couple of nice keepers in the dirty water of the bay this morning. These two fish at 10 feet apart and the big one was 23″.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing hunted in the murky water of the south bay and was able to find his shooters some meat with some big southern and cow nosed rays.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star had a tough time of it today, but Hurricane Murray had a tougher time.

Or none.

But not Cathy’s. With our very own portly prince of skunkliness fishing the spot next to her, she caught two nice flounder and won the pool..
At least the weather looks nicer in coming days.
Though most were 3 to 4 ft, our biggest wave today would have made a surfer proud – 10ft on the nose. (see pic)
I just got back from a busy day 1 of the OC Tuna Tournament at the Ocean City Fishing Center and there were some great fish that hit the leaderboard. There was a big bluefin that… READ MORE
