As I finish up day 1 at the Saltwater Fishing Expo in Edison, NJ I am happy to report that things are looking up as the weather warms up. We’ve got some chilly days ahead of us in the next week, but overall the temperatures will be rising and more and more species will make their appearance. There were some short stripers caught in Indian River inlet today and rumor of some short stripers on the NJ coast are circling the show today…..I got one can not wait to get fishing again.
Captain Brian Behe of Buffalo Hunter Guide Service was on the Pocomoke River today where he and his anglers “whacked” the crappie. Live minnows did the trick as some nice slab fish were caught.

Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing has gotten an early start on the season and has been met with some success. Captain Marc had a couple from Rhode Island down for some shooting on the Nanticoke River where he put them on some great shots at some jumbo carp.
