Unfortunately the weatherman nailed it today. It was absolutely miserable almost all day….still is. High winds and rain had the ocean closed for business and I know of only one or two boats that even fished the bay. I imagine the water in the bay was still clean today and probably will be for a day or two so you can probably still catch a flounder if you feel like giving it a try. With all the rain today though the runoff will hit the bay in a couple of days and I’d bet we’ll have dirty water conditions for a few. Let’s hope not, the flounder fishing has been so good so far this year I’m ready to go again next week before I get reel busy.
The only reports that I have for today are actually from yesterday. Captain John Prather of Ocean City Guide Service had a trip where he caught and released a small, but beautiful cobia.

Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters did some inshore shark fishing yesterday evening and last night and had some really good action. Captain Chase put his anglers on some great catch and release fishing for sand bar and sand tiger sharks and even released a small hammerhead.
