We had some beautiful weather in the area today and there was some great fishing out there. It looks like more of the same tomorrow before some storms on Saturday so get out there and bend a rod.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a fantastic day of fishing today with lots caught on both AM and PM trips. This morning Captain Jason put his anglers on some keeper tautog from the OC Inlet and 10 keeper flounder from the south bay, and then this afternoon it was some bluefish, some more keeper flounder and some rockfish and shad.
Captain Kane Bounds of the Fish Bound had a nice day for his anglers today as well with an awesome catch of tautog. Anglers on Fish Bound caught some beauties today with fish up to 14 pounds. Some “roasters” went in the fish box, but most fish were released.
John Wittmyer from Crabs to Go and his crew had an awesome day of tautog fishing yesterday with some nice fish going in the fish box.
Big Bird Cropper and Shaun Flaherty had a nice day in the OC Inlet today catching a limit of bluefish and catching several stripers. All were caught on Bird’s Roy Rig.
