Not as many boats fished offshore today as did yesterday. Fishing in the Baltimore canyon was still decent, but with less boats trying, there’s less to report. Nonetheless, the boats that did go were able to get ahold of some Yellowfin tuna between 50-100 fathoms on Ballyhoo and spreader bars.
Inshore the Flounder fishing continues to be RED HOT with lots of keepers being caught in the east channel north and south of the Rt 50 bridge, and on the south side of the south jetty.
Captain Luke Blume on the White Lightning out of Sunset Marina reports 3 Yellowfin and 4 Dolphin from today’s trip.
My buddy Austin Ensor on the Matetrix II had a stellar 1/2 day trip with the sharks. He reports lots of shark action from 20 fathoms in the Fingers. Austin and crew released 3 Makos up to 130 pounds, three Dusky sharks, 1 Blue shark about 250 pounds and a nice Hammerhead. Not bad for a 1/2 day outing!
Captain Rob Skillman on the Moore Bills out of The Ocean City Fishing Center had three Yellowfin and a Dolphin.
