It was another super hot, humid day today on shore and the wind puffed up a little this afternoon as well. A cooling front is supposed to move through the area tomorrow ushering in some cooler temps and the wind is supposed to be pretty light making for a nice weekend. Sign ups are tomorrow for the Ocean City Marlin Club’s 60th Annual Labor Day White Marlin Tournament and with good weather and a good white marlin bite it could be a good one. Registration is at the club from 6:30 PM until 9 and this tournament is free to paid boat members of the Ocean City Marlin Club. You do not have to be a member of the OCMC to participate and registration is only $500 for non member boats. Look no further than right here for updates from the event all weekend.
Speaking of white marlin fishing, the bite continues to be very good offshore in the canyons. Today Captain Jeremy Blunt of the Wrecker put Jennifer Hershey, Gwynn Holloway and Zach Born on three white marlin releases and got a great shot of a jumping white in the meantime.

Inshore Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star submitted this photo of Rich Myer of Williamstown, NJ – Damen Smalls of Waldorf, MD – Dominick Monopoli of Brick, NJ – Paul Sanicki of Philly, PA – Ian & Paul Dominick of Baltimore, MD – & John Griffin of Pine Bush, NY with a nice catch of flounder. The pool winner was a nice 23″ fish.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler will be taking advantage of the weather and flounder fishing this weekend as he attempts to put some folks on some keeper flounder over the Labor Day holiday. These fish came over the rail of the Angler for this lucky angler.

Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters put this angler on a 37″ cobia that was just shy of the 40″ minimum size.
