Get geared up for the rockfish and bluefish at Atlantic Tackle!
It was another windy one today with a steady puff out off the northeast. I was in the yard quite a bit and there were white caps up in Manklin Creek so I know spot in the bay had to be rough. The good news was that a northeast blow can keep the water pretty clean so fishing was pretty good for the few that toughed it out.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had a nice day today with some good fishing. He had bluefish and a keeper flounder for one group, and Mark Debinski from Bluewater Advisory Group and his crew had some good catch and release rockfishing at the south jetty. They even had one real big fish at 42.5″!
Rich Daiker has been showing the Schindler clan some good fishing lately with rockfish and bluefish from the south jetty and Route 50 bridge. Rich and Stacey Schindler had a limit of bluefish from the south jetty this morning on Roy Rigs, Chase Schindler had an 11 pound bluefish from the south jetty and Reece Schindler had some catch and release rockfish action at the south jetty this evening.
Jordan Helsel and Cody B made quick work of a bluefish limit in the OC inlet this morning.
Austin Purnell landed a 19″ keeper flounder while fishing the East Channel today.
