Windy Day Bluefish

By Scott Lenox

Windy Day Bluefish

The weather roller coaster that we’ve been riding over the past several weeks took another dive today with some pretty nasty conditions for almost the middle of May.  A stiff breeze off the ocean had things cool and windy, and the occasional heavy mist made it down right unpleasant at times.  Not a great day to be on the water, but there were fish to be caught.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters can put anglers on fish most days and today was no different at all.  Even with the tough conditions, Captain Jason put his group on a pile of nice bluefish up to a “chopper” sized 33″.

This 32.25″ red drum was caught and released by Justin Drost the other day while he was fishing from his jet ski.
