Dude, it was windy this afternoon. Real windy! My buddy Jeremy Kohr from Kohr’s Outdoors and I decided to go try some tog and sheepshead fishing at the south jetty and we got our butts kicked on the way down and then we got them kicked again on the way back to the slip. We did catch some fish though so it was kinda worth it. We caught and released a bunch of very nice tautog to about 17″, I caught one striper on a sand flea and Jeremy landed a nice sheepshead on a live sand flea as well. It was a bunch of fun!
Yesterday, 11 year old Warren Brown was fishing with Captain Bill Brown when he landed this BIG 510 pound thresher shark that they weighed at Bahia Marina with the help of mate Greg Charvat.
Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters had a nice day in the ocean for his anglers putting them on a nice pile of sea bass and one keeper flounder.
The flounder fishing in the back bay wasn’t too hot today with the wind, but Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters showed his groups a good time by finding some snapper bluefish.
Captain Kyle Pelino of OC Guide Service found some nice fish for his anglers on yesterday’s ocean trip.
Anglers fishing on board the Miss Kathleen out of Bahia Marina had some good fishing today with plenty of sea bass going home in coolers and several tautog being released back to sea.
