More Black Drum in the Surf

More Black Drum in the Surf

Overall it was a pretty nice day in and around Ocean City today with warm temperatures and sunny skies.  The wind did start to blow pretty hard this afternoon, but some folks were able to get out fishing before it got too bad.  The weekend forecast isn’t very nice so I don’t know what kind of reports will roll in…hopefully there are enough breaks in the rain that some anglers can get out and bend a rod.

The Evan’s crew of Evan, Fulton, Hunter and Johnny fished for about four hours today in the surf of Assateague Island and had some good luck with black drum and some short stripers.  The crew caught four black drum and three short stripers total on a combination of fish bites and sand fleas.  Tomorrow they’ll be looking for flounder in Ocean City and will hopefully be reporting back.

David Moore fished the Assateague Surf yesterday and had his own good luck catching some black drum.  David used sand fleas and landed fish of 27″, 32″, 35″ and 37″.
