Awesome Fishing!!

Awesome Fishing!!

Today was one of those days where it seemed like everyone that put a line in the water caught the  fish that they were looking for.  Many of the offshore fleet had great luck with Tuna again, and the White Marlin fishing is really starting to improve over the past few days.  There are also some Bigeye tuna around and plenty of Dolphin.  The action is best in the Baltimore and Wilmington canyons.

Inshore the fishing was just as good today!  Tautog on the south jetty, Bluefish north of the Rt 50 bridge and Flounder in the east channel, the south side of the south jetty and on the inshore wrecks for the party boats.  Anglers are having great luck with the Tog on sand fleas and crabs, the Bluefish are eating just about anything that you throw at them, and the Flounder anglers are catching loads of keepers on live minnows and white Gulp.

Captain Luke Blume on the White Lightning out of Sunset Marina reported 8 nice Yellowfin tuna, 2 Dolphin and a White Marlin release from 50 fathoms in the Baltimore canyon.

Inshore, Captain John Prather on the Ocean City Guide Service continues his inshore fish mugging.  Captain John reported some good Tautog action from the jetty, including a nice 17″ keeper, and 4 really nice keeper Flounder from the east channel on white Gulp baits.  The two biggest were a pair of 23″, 5 pound flatties!!

The party boat Judith M out of Bahia Marina with Captain Don Hetherington had happy customers putting them on some Flounder and Sea Bass on the inshore wrecks.  The Judith M has two 1/2 day trips every day.
