It was overcast today, but temperatures were comfortable and the wind was pretty nonexistent. The ocean and bays were flat calm and it was a great November day to get out and do some fishing.
I headed out with my good buddy Big Bird Cropper to shoot an episode of Hooked on OC today and we had another great day on the water together. We released some short rockfish at the Route 50 bridge and I lucked into this nice 30.5″, 12 pound keeper that ate a Big Thing a Ma Jig at the tip of the north jetty.
Kevin McNelis and his dad Kevin McNelis had a great day of tautog fishing with a limit of eight fish up to 19.5″ on ocean structure.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a good bite today with lots of sea bass, some bluefish, a couple of porgy and some keeper flounder to as big as 8 pounds.
