I just got done fishing in one of the most fun tournaments on Ocean City’s tournament calendar with my son Ryan. The 16th Annual Memorial Spot Fishing Tournament put on by the Ocean City Fishing Center finished up just a little bit ago and everyone had an awesome time…especially the kids. This is an awesome event that brings people together to have a good time on the anniversary of one of the most horrific events in our nation’s history.
There were 69 entries in this year’s event and it seemed that everyone had a good time. I saw lots of friends there with their kids showing them the ropes and I’m pretty sure that every person entered caught at least one fish. My son Ryan caught several spot, a couple of sea bass and even two pinfish.
No tournament would be complete without competition so there is a small $5 entry fee and prizes given by the Ocean City Fishing Center for several categories. Here are the winners.
