Before The Rain

Before The Rain

Hit the vid for flounder gear available at Atlantic Tackle!

It was miserable around here today.  A chilly, steady rain fell for the majority of the day and the wind blew just hard enough to have most everyone tied to the dock.  Tomorrow looks pretty similar with another chance of rain and winds that eventually die down before they pick up again Thursday.  Hopefully it’s all gone before the Memorial Day holiday.

I got a few reports today from the last couple of days that showed how good the fishing and shooting was before today’s weather.  Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing has been on the river and on the bay lately and has been doing very well for his shooters.  D2D is seeing plenty of ray action on the bay and lots of river action that includes gar, snakeheads, some carp and big catfish.

Dave Skirka caught this jumbo 5.5 pound flounder that was 24″ long while fishing the Thorofare with Evan Evans, Jonny Evans and Donnie Zimmerman.  The guys were trolling live minnows and had three total keepers.
