It was a warm and beautiful day out there today, and even though the wind got up this afternoon it was a nice day to be on the water…..or in my case, on the beach! I headed down to fish the Assateague surf with my good buddy Officer Mike Dzurnak and we had a great day catching and releasing some black drum. I had two fish of 26″ and 33″ and Mike had a 30″ fish and a big 35.5″er. It was a blast!!
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a fantastic day of fishing for his group today putting them on 7 keeper flounder and some tautog action.
Brad Stauch from Berlin, and John Friedfeld from Dagsboro, DE had a good day fishing he back bay with shiners and Gulp and put two keeper flounder in the cooler up to 20″.
Ryan Ellerman from R.E. Appraisal Service caught and released this nice 32″ black drum in the Assateague surf.
