I just got home from a late night at Harbour Island thanks to a big blue marlin brought in by the crew of Moore Bills. The big fish was just 3.5 pounds shy of first place at 894 pounds and was an exciting end to a pretty busy night of scales action. The first boat to arrive to the scales tonight also jumped onto the leaderboard and was just 1.5 pounds shy of its leader. The Billfisher with Captain Jon Duffie at the helm put up a 76 pound white marlin right out of the gate today and landed in second place behind Waste Knot’s 77.5 pounder. I’m not sure if any of the 70 boats left to fish the 2024 White Marlin Open will be going tomorrow, but some may take a chance on Saturday that was added before the tournament got underway. Good luck to anyone that gets fishing over the next two days…..and be safe! Here’s who’s leading after 4 days of fishing.

Outside of the tournament, Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a couple of nice trips that yielded fish for his anglers. This morning it was a lineup of bluefish and this afternoon it was two keeper flounder and some more blues.
