Well when I say there are a lot of mahi out in the canyons I mean it! This is the time of year when we start to get a lot of weed lines out in the canyons and they are a haven for mahi and the larger predators that eat mahi.
If you find some mahi out there and focus your attention on catching them you can do some serious damage. Captain Jeremy Blunt on board the Wrecker out of The Ocean City Fishing Center had an awesome day with the mahi today. As a matter of fact, it was as awesome as it could be since he wasn’t able to keep any more fish. Captain Jeremy and mate Brian Behe put their party on a limit of mahi today..that means 60 fish.
If you’re interested in booking a trip for them, you gotta do it now cause time is running out. www.fishinoc.com/charters
Got a report from mate Stevie Moore from the Moore Bills this morning about yesterday’s trip. Stevie said that he and Captain Rob Skillman had a good day releasing four white marlin and boxing a couple of mahi. It was the first white marlin for all four anglers.
