Calmer Seas and Loads of Mahi

By Scott Lenox

Calmer Seas and Loads of Mahi

We had another nice weather day today and some of the fleet was able to get offshore to troll the Washington.  Boats reported a couple of yellowfin tuna, at least one white marlin release and loads of mahi.  The white marlin must have been a straggler and the tuna are getting fewer and farther between but the mahi fishing could be good for another couple of weeks.

The Wrecker with Captain Jeremy Blunt and a few other boats will be heading to the deep tomorrow to try their luck at it.  Let’s hope the seas are calm and the fish are biting.

The Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak fished for the first time in weeks today and had some luck with small bluefish and some sea bass.  The party boats will be making practice runs over the next week or so in preparation for the sea bass season reopening on the 22nd.
