It was a chilly one out there today, but with not much wind to speak of it was a good day to get out on the water and do some late December fishing. There’s not much going on in the bay so it was out to the ocean for some to bend a rod on some migratory striped bass and some tautog.
Dave Church and his son hit the nearshore ocean today to do some trolling and had a very nice day catching and releasing some striped bass. They used umbrella rigs from about midtown OC to south of Bethany Beach and brought about a dozen fish between 32″ and 46″ to the net.
Forest Bleinberger, Dom Catrino and Jason Stokes fished a nearshore wreck and had a limit of nice tautog today. The crew also released another 45 or so fish in about three hours.
