After a decent Monday, Mother Nature threw us another curve ball today and had it blown up out of the east at 15-25 knots. At one point today seas were 5.5 feet every 4.5 seconds….that’s rough. The offshore fleet took a break and did some catching up from prep for the upcoming tournament run that starts with the Poor Girls Open on Thursday. The weather breaks tomorrow, and this weekend’s forecast sounds perfect so I’m sure we’ll see some fish at the dock.
The highlight of today was the inshore fishing by Captain John Prather on The Ocean City Guide Service. The croaker have arrived in the back bays of Ocean City and you can find them in good numbers if you know what you’re doing. Captain John has got it down and put this party on a pile of croaker and a couple of triggerfish fishing throughout the bay. Squid and Fishbites were the killer combination that attracted bites from these tasty panfish.
