You may think I’m crazy making the title of the Daily Angle “Fall Is In The Air” when it’s 90 degrees outside with 110% humidity, but if you live and fish around here you know what I mean. We’ve got one more busy weekend with Labor Day on the horizon, but there is definitely a feel of fall around town as we are starting to see less anglers around the rail of the local party boat fleet and there are less boats on the bay. It’s a great time of year to get out on a party boat or book an offshore charter during the week. We’ve got some of the best fishing of the entire year yet to come and you’ll definitely be seeing me on the water.
It was a light rail on the Morning Star today with Captain Monty Hawkins, but the fishing was still good. Dave Leitzell of Harrisburg, PA had the pool winner today with a 22″er and also pictured are Bill Skoken of Salamanca, NY- Todd Schiller of Harrisburg, PA- Lori Dennis (local) – Caleb Cody of OC – Peter & Robert DeMote of Westminster, MD with some of today’s catch.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a slower bite than yesterday, but he still had some nice fish come over the rail.
Captain Joe Drosey of Rhonda’s Osprey had a good day offshore for this father and his sons. The crew caught and released two white marlin and had a handful of mahi for the cooler.
