Chalk us up for another crap day on DelMarVa cause today was down right nasty. We were surrounded by rain pretty much all day and when it wasn’t raining it was pretty foggy over the water. All in all it wasn’t the nicest day to fish, but some will go when there’s fish to catch.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters sent his first report of the season in today with some really nice shots. Captain Mike Walsh ran Lucky Break today and put his anglers on some nice catch and release rockfishing in the OC inlet while casting bucktails.
There was a pretty good bite for bluefish on the Oceanic Pier last night and today. Bob Haltmeir sent me a couple of shots of some nice blues that were caught on the pier and Bear sent me a photo of Doug from White Marsh who caught a 17 1/2″ keeper flounder on a white Gulp bait.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tide Charters had a good sea bass trip yesterday. Captain Chase fished an offshore wreck with PA state trooper Mark Dean and his crew and put 40 nice sea bass up to 3 pounds in the box.
There are still boats available for the Mako Mania shark tournament put on by Bahia Marina from June 1 through 3rd. Spring Mix II is looking for two anglers to fill spots and some of our other boats are wide open and available for the tournament. Check out the offshore fleet at FishinOC.com/offshore-charters
