Man, it was nasty out there today. Very cool temperatures that didn’t get out of the 50s and some strong winds made it tough if you decided to go fishing. Thankfully there was no rain….but that’s coming tomorrow. Springfest down in the inlet parking lot has already been cancelled for tomorrow (Sunday, April 26) so it will be a great day to head the OC Reef Foundation fundraiser at Hooper’s Crab House from 12-4. Hope to see you there!
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters was the only report that came in from today. Captain Jason sent this photo of five nice keeper flounder from behind Assateague Island with the frozen blue face emoji.
Vincent Fick fished the Oceanic Pier yesterday where he landed his first keeper flounder of the year at an even 18″. You can see Vincent in the shadow on the right.
Charlie Donohue fished the North OC surf and landed this nice black drum yesterday on sand fleas.
Kevin McNelis fished the Assateague surf in today’s tough conditions and still landed his first ever keeper black drum at 25″.
