It was another beautiful day today in Ocean City with sunny skies, light winds and unseasonably warm temperatures. There is WAY less fishing pressure on the water during the week this time of year regardless of the nice weather so getting fishing reports can be hit or miss. There are plenty of anglers out on the weekends so I’m glad that the weather has been cooperating on Saturday and Sunday lately so that folks can get out. The weather forecast for our first Ocean City Inshore Classic is awesome right now so we hope to see you Friday for sign ups at Sunset Grille starting at 5.
I got a Facebook submission from Joey C with this photo of he and the boys with a load of keeper flounder. Joey, Dave Weller, Chip Ayers and Danny Barnett burned the flounder up north of the route 50 bridge on live bunker. The guys put 10 keepers in the box with fish as big as 25″.
The only other report to come in today was from Bear down at the Oceanic Pier. Johan from Westminster caught this nice 22″ flounder on a Gulp 5″ white swimming mullet from the pier this afternoon.
Big Bird Cropper fished the 50 bridge today as well and was rewarded with some small bluefish, some throwback flounder and this 19″ keeper.
The first ever Ocean City Inshore Classic is this Saturday and Sunday with sign ups Friday at Sunset Grille starting at 5 PM. We’ll be just down the dock from Teasers right behind the pool and the first 40 boats to sign up get our tournament bucket from Bill Blade with an XL tournament tee shirt. We’ll be filming an episode of Hooked on OC all weekend so you just might be on TV.
