Yesterday’s weather was bad…..today’s was worse. Cl0udy all day, strong northeast winds and it absolutely poured down rain for a little while. I was pretty positive I wasn’t going to get any fishing reports coming in, but once again, I thought wrong.
I had a Facebook submission come in from Jessica Ager saying that OC Shark Hunter Nick Ager caught these two gator bluefish from the surf in Ocean City. The biggest fish was a whopping 39″ and Jessica says that Nick lost a larger fish that broke his braid. The big blues were caught in the surf at 125th street on finger mullet.

I’ve had some anglers asking me where the best place to catch the bluefish is, and the answer is EVERYWHERE! They are in the surf on Assateague Island and in Ocean City and they are all over the back bay. Once you find them, they’ll eat just about anything, but shad baits and cut bait seem to be working the best.
