Hit the vid for the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!
It was another picture perfect day in and around Ocean City and there were some more great fish caught for those that got to get out on the water. If you’re looking to do some tuna fishing we might just be into some of the best of the year.
Captain Chris Little of Talkin’ Trash had another great day of tuna fishing today with 16 yellowfin tuna lined up on the dock at the Ocean City Fishing Center.![]()
The crew on board the private boat Reely Workin’ with Captain Billy Work had a great day in the Poorman’s Canyon today putting some nice yellowfin tuna in the fish box.
Sea bass fishing in the ocean was good again today and there have also been some more flounder showing up on the wrecks and reefs. Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler had some of both on today’s trip and also enjoyed some gorgeous weather.
Captain Victor Bunting of the Ocean Princess had some good fishing on today’s trip too with lots of keeper sized sea bass going home with his anglers. Korale Filipiak from Dayton, Ohio also caught the first triggerfish that I’ve seen this season.
Captian Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star is certainly enjoying this nice stretch of weather and the sea bass have been cooperating as well.
Mercy.. Two pretty days in a row. What are we to think? Sure enjoyable. Maria gave today’s reef blocks a good shove atop the newly chosen site for the Freedom – it will become Jim Reinknecht’s Memorial Reef.. I was going to drop the Freedom in shallower water, but Jim Reinknect’s folks have something else in mind and have fundraised to see it through. No Worries! Our SCUBA and freedive supporters are mighty lucky to have Capt. Jerimiah on their team. He’s got a tug and barge coming for a shallow water site. I’m looking forward to deploying all of it and more! Fishing today was a test of clients’ work ethic; sometimes crickets or lots of throwbacks. Things improved after lunch with the fish pool changing hands several times. As ever, fish bit better when it was time to leave – so we stayed on a while more and boxed some folks up into double digits (including Hurricane Murray which should tell you they were REALLY biting..) Jigmaster Tom even sealed the deal with a limit. At day’s end Maria’s reef building karma wasn’t enough to override John’s golden horseshoe. He edged her out of the pool by the thinnest of margins. Weather looks fit again tomorrow. See what the day brings..Cheers, Monty
Levi Dunlap was excited when this 22″ flounder jumped on his orange Deadly Tackle Deadly Double while drifting in the Thorofare.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing has had some good shooting for cow nosed and southern rays of late and PBR bull rider Cody Nace even got in on the action.
