Today started with a little cloud cover, but you could tell early on it was going to turn out to be a reely nice day. The clouds gave way to sunshine this afternoon, temps were warm and the wind was light enough for some anglers to be out on the bay taking advantage of the multiple species that have now made themselves available.
I got a text from Chef Mikey Johnston just before he headed to the line at the Ocean City Marlin Club with another stellar flounder report. Chef Mike fished solo again today and trolled up his limit of four flounder and then some. Mike caught 14 total flounder with the four keepers and had three other fish that were legal that he threw back for me to catch tomorrow. The flounder fell to “Mikey’s Method” of trolling a combination of Gulp swimming mullet and flounder belly.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters opted to do some tautog fishing this weekend and found success. Captain Jason put his clients on some nice tog action from the inlet area.

Blake Gunther of the Ocean City Fishing Community was out today and caught a reel mixed bag of fish after hitting a few spots. Blake and crew had flounder, tautog and bluefish on a nice afternoon fishing the back bays of Ocean City.
