Pretty Day

Pretty Day

It was a nice day in Ocean City today with calm winds, sunny skies and really comfortable temperatures.  The wind is going to start blowing again tomorrow for a few days so it looks like ocean fishing interests will have to be put on hold until at least Monday.  The forecast for early next week looks pretty good right now, but we’ll have to see if it pans out like the forecasters are saying it will…..let’s hope so.

The ocean going party boat fleet was back at it again today and found that there are still plenty of fish hanging around structure and artificial reef.  Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star reported a “pretty day off there” where they drifted all day.  There were several sea bass that will fill fry pans from today and one angler was darn close to a limit of flounder.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a good day of bottom fishing too with several nice flounder coming over the rail for happy clients.  Pete’s fish was the biggest of the day at just over 5 pounds.

It was a good day down at the Oceanic Pier in downtown Ocean City with some pretty good action on throwback flounder and small rockfish.
