There was a pretty good breeze blowing out of the south today that had sea conditions offshore less than favorable. It was definitely fishable, but the report was that it was steady 3′ – 5 ‘ with some white water on top. Those conditions aren’t the best, but when your days of fishing are numbered, you get out when you can.
The C Boys with Captain Luke Blume and mate Jon Henry had the Drew family on board today and had a good day of trolling. Captain Luke had the C Boys in the Poor Man’s Canyon and put the Drew’s on five white marlin releases and 17 mahi.

Captain Jeremy Blunt on the Wrecker out of the Ocean City Fishing Center had another good day of trolling the canyons today. Wrecker ended the day with two blue marlin releases, one white marlin release and a 50 pound stud yellowfin.
The ocean going party boats had a good day on the ocean today. The Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak had sea bass and flounder action on ocean structure with strip baits and clam.

Captain Monty Hawkins on the party boat Morning Star submitted a photo of Alex’s group of “highly inebriated Russian friends” saying they had a blast! They didn’t catch any flounder, but others on the boat did, as well as some sea bass.

Bear at the Oceanic Pier in downtown Ocean City submitted some photos today of some of the recent action he’s seen. Todd Hornbacker from Chambersburg, PA caught a 2 lb 12 oz sea bass on shiners and won the fish pool on a local party boat.

Mike from Aldie, Virginia who is a regular, caught a real nice 20″ flounder on a squid and shiner combo from the pier last night.

Dave from PA caught a nice 19″ flounder off of the pier’s “buffalo head” minnows.

Tomorrow is the Ocean City Fishing Center’s September 11th Memorial Spot Tournament. This is a terrific event that is a lot of fun for adults and kids. The captain’s meeting is tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM and fishing is from 5 PM to 7 PM right from the docks at the Ocean City Fishing Center. I’ll see you there!
