It was pretty sporty off the beach today…fishable, but sporty. Northeast winds had it 3′-5′ and a little better at times, but there’s tuna to be caught.
Kevin Rohrdack and his crew braved the rough seas today and caught a box of large yellowfin tunas up to 70lbs and a big gaffer dolphin fishing with Captain Mark Hoos on the charter boat MARLI.
Inshore, Captain Luke Blume of the C-Boys was out on the south bay behind Assategue Island with his kids Emily and Joshua and caught 16 throwback flounder on minnows. They didn’t catch any keepers, but reported the water was really clean and fishing was good.
