Fishing reports have gotten few and far between over the past couple of weeks thanks to the cold weather. The forecast for this weekend is changing all the time, but we are looking at a significant winter storm rolling through the area Saturday into Sunday. Some areas may see heavy snow or ice, and some rain may even mix in some areas as well. We’ll know more as the weekend approaches, but I’m gettin prepared to possibly be stuck in the house for a few days.
There’s not much going on fishing wise in and around Ocean City other than the occasional tautog trip, but fishing has been pretty good when the weather allows anglers to get out on the ocean. Captain Kane Bounds of the Fish Bound had my buddy Eamon “Irish” Carey out today and they had a great time with the tog. “Irish” had a very nice 15 pound male that was caught, weighed and then safely released. Pretty work Irish!
Fish Bound and The Ocean Princess will both be heading down to Chincoteague, VA for the February sea bass season so hopefully we’ll be having some more regular reports next month!
