The fall in Ocean City isn’t just a good time of year for fishing, it can be crazy good for crabbing also. My buddy Joe Jasilaitis from Alban Ocean City does pretty good on the crabs, but this week he laid the smack down on them. Joe caught five bushels of nice crabs including several jumbos on a recent trip to the Isle of Wight Bay by the route 90 bridge behind Ocean City. Joe used a combination of traps, trot line and pots to catch the crabs and reported it as his best day ever.

Captain John Prather on the inshore charter boat Ocean City Guide Service had another good inshore trip for tautog today. Captain John used green crabs at the south jetty and Martha’s Landing to put his crew on some nice “sashimi”.

I hear tale that the Marli and the Muff Diver are taking trips to the deep tomorrow and Thursday so I’ll let you know if they find any of the offshore species still hanging around.
