Tog on the Jetty…Flounder in the South Bay

Captain John Prather on the Ocean City Guide Service is providing customers with some great fishing since he’s started fishing the inshore waters in Ocean City.  Rockfish and bluefish have been abundant around the jetties and the RT 50 bridge and yesterday he caught the first keeper flounder of the season for OC Guide Service.

Captain John reports, “Cold, cold water at the end of the outgoing tide….54 degrees.  Managed to catch some tog and our first keeper flounder of the season…a nice 17″ fish from the south bay on a white gulp.”

Flounder behind Assateague Island is a good sign, that means that they’re starting to fill up the bay.  Stick to the shallows still, 4-10′ max will give you your best results in this chilly water.
