Big Sword on a Busman’s Holiday

The owner of the boat that is donating the trip for our giveaway took a busman’s holiday to the Florida keys this week and had an awesome couple of days fishing. Captain Paul Lebling of Spring Mix II along with his crew of Captain Steve Selander, Captain Chris Watkowski and John Tramont left the crummy Ocean City weather for the sunny skies and warmth of Marathon in the Florida Keys.

Their first trip was some awesome tarpon fishing aboard the No Slack with Captain James Platt “Bucko” where the crew caught nine fish.

Another trip was aboard Captain Nick Stanczyk’s Broad Minded out of Bud N’ Mary’s Marina. Captain Nick put the crew on 10 mahi and a beautiful 247.5 pound swordfish.

Not surprising that these fishermen go on vacation…..to fish!
